CASEWV is seeking applicants for Providers, for the Commission on Aging’s In-Home Care Program to dutifully enhance the quality of life and care for Commission on Aging’s In- Home Care clients in Mercer County. Assisting with personal care, housework, and transportation to doctor’s appointments. High School Diploma or GED, dependable vehicle, and valid driver’s license. Previous experience working in the home care field is preferred. This position is offered at part-time or full-time, scheduled depending on clients’ needs, work will be conducted at clients' homes. The Commission on Aging office and senior center is in Princeton, WV.

Nutrition Outreach Assistant
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Nutrition Outreach Assistant to assist with nutritional services and educational programing for parents and children enrolled in the Head Start program in Mercer County. Nutrition Outreach Assistant help in the preparation of food for Head Start Center, assist in planning and implementing nutritional educational activities for: parents, children, and staff, and support other departments with coordinating nutritional parent engagement and educational activities across the program. A high school diploma or GED and experience working with children and families in the community is required. A food hander’s permit and prior experience cooking for a childcare center is preferred. Substitute Cook
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Substitute Cook to provide nutritious meals to children enrolled in the Head Start Program in Mercer County. Cooks prepare food for children that meets daily requirements, record keeping, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. A High School Diploma or GED is required and preferably two years’ food preparation. This is a substitute position that will have you rotating at one of our three Mercer County Head Start locations, as needed.
Substitute Teacher
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Substitute Teachers to maintain continuity in the classroom when the regular teacher is absent for children enrolled in the Head Start Program in Mercer County. Substitute Teachers cooperate with the teacher or the assistant teacher to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes health, nutrition and optimal educational opportunities for participating children. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver's license are required.
Previous experience working with students or children is preferred. This is a substitute position that will have you rotating at one of our three Mercer County Head Start locations, as needed.
MIECHV Home Visitation
Home Visitor
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Home Visitor, for the MIECHV Home Visitation program to enthusiastically promote MIECHV Home Visitation program to the area young families in Mercer County. Home Visitors Comprehensive child development services, in the home environment, including support of the parent / child relationship though education focused actives, home visits, group socialization, case management and family advocacy. Home-Based Child Development Associate (CDA) or Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS) certification, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate or bachelor’s degree, and good communication and computer skills. This is a full-time position based out of the MIECHV Home Visitation office in Bluefield, WV.

Community Engagement Specialist
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Community Engagement Specialist, for our Recovery Housing Service program. Community Engagement Specialist work in the community to assist individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders that are at risk of re-offending. Applicants are required to have a high school degree or GED, a PRSS Certification from the West Virginia Certification Board for Addiction and Prevention Professionals, and knowledge of local recovery network and how to help others access public services. Living experience with substance use challenges (history of criminal justice involvement preferred); involved with a personal support and/or recovery system; reside in stable, recovery-oriented housing the last six (6) months; have no legal involvement within the last six (6) months and/or pending legal issues; no intensive behavioral health treatment involvement within the last six (6) months, including intensive services, crisis stabilization/detoxification services, residential treatment services and/or psychiatric hospitalization. B. S. in a Human Service is preferred. In addition, all applicants must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation. This is a full-time position located in Bluefield, WV.
Peer Recovery Support Specialist
CASEWV is seeking applicants for Recovery Support Specialist, for our Recovery Housing Service program. Peer Recovery Support Specialist help remove personal and environmental obstacles to recovery, link the newly recovering person to the recovery community, and serve as a navigator and mentor in the management of personnel and family recovery. Applicants are required to have a high school degree or GED; PRSS Certification from the West Virginia Certification Board for Addiction and Prevention Professionals; living experience with substance use challenges (history of criminal justice involvement preferred); involved with a personal support and/or recovery system; reside in stable, recovery-oriented housing the last six (6) months; have no legal involvement within the last six (6) months and/or pending legal issues; no intensive behavioral health treatment involvement within the last six (6) months, including intensive services, crisis stabilization/detoxification services, residential treatment services and/or psychiatric hospitalization.
