Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Community Action of South Eastern West Virginia, Inc. (CASEWV), a non-profit agency, is accepting applications for Chief Executive Officer. Responsible for the implementation of policies, strategic goals and objectives, financial, program and administrative oversight of an agency with an annual budget of $16 million and a staff of approximately 215. Working directly with the board of directors to support the mission of CASEWV, possess a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, government/ public administration, social services, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of ten years in non-profit administration, grant funding, and community outreach experience is essential. Proven ability to manage staff, volunteers, and grant funded programs a must, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain a strong relationship with the community and stakeholders.

Commission on Aging

Providers

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Providers, for the Commission on Aging’s In-Home Care Program to dutifully enhance the quality of life and care for Commission on Aging’s In- Home Care clients in Mercer County. Assisting with personal care, housework, and transportation to doctor’s appointments. High School Diploma or GED, dependable vehicle, and valid driver’s license. Previous experience working in the home care field is preferred. This position is offered at part-time or full-time, scheduled depending on clients’ needs, work will be conducted at clients' homes. The Commission on Aging office and senior center is in Princeton, WV.

Head Start

Behavior Health & Disability Assistant

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Behavior Health & Disability Assistant, for the Head Start Program to avidly aid the Head Start program’s staff and students with development and mental health needs.  Behavior Health & Disability Assistants assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of mental health and disabilities services and all related data within Head Start and Early Head Start program, as well as the monitoring and coordination of referrals and service provision for children with suspected and identified disabilities. High School Diploma and one-year teaching experience in an infant/toddler or early childhood classroom. Additional certifications in CDA credentials, state-awarded certificate (ACDS) that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential, or associate degree in Early Childhood Development is preferred. This is a full-time position located at New Hope Head Start Center in Princeton, WV.

Family Service Advocate

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Family Service Advocate to assist local families and children enrolled in the Head Start Program in Mercer County. FSAs perform the necessary duties required to implement the Head Start Program’s Family and Community Engagement services; health services, services for children with disabilities, transition services, and services to enrolled pregnant women. This includes making home visits, recruiting children for the program, scheduling required health services and transporting children and families to needed services. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Within 18 months of hire, at a minimum, applicants must have a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field. This is a full-time, 12-month position located in Mercer County.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the health needs of children enrolled in Head Start Programs in Mercer and Summers County. LPNs assist to ensure goals, policies, and activities are being implemented to the Early Head Start, Head Start, and Child Care Health Services objectives and performance standard. This includes creating Plan of Cares for children including various health-related administrations, basic health screenings for children, providing training and assistance to staff and parents around health, and assisting in coordination of health and services activities. An active LPN licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing is required. Experience with young children and teaching CPR, First Aid & AED is preferred. This is a full-time, 12-month, position located at the Head Start Program’s primary office in Princeton, WV

Substitute Cook

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Substitute Cook to provide nutritious meals to children enrolled in the Head Start Program in Mercer County. Cooks prepare food for children that meets daily requirements, record keeping, maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. A High School Diploma or GED is required and preferably two years’ food preparation. This is a substitute position that will have you rotating at one of our three Mercer County Head Start locations, as needed.

Substitute Teacher

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Substitute Teachers to maintain continuity in the classroom when the regular teacher is absent for children enrolled in the Head Start Program in Mercer County. Substitute Teachers cooperate with the teacher or the assistant teacher to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes health, nutrition and optimal educational opportunities for participating children. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver's license are required. Previous experience working with students or children is preferred. This is a substitute position that will have you rotating at one of our three Mercer County Head Start locations, as needed.

MIECHV Home Visitation

Home Visitor

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Home Visitor, for the MIECHV Home Visitation program to enthusiastically promote MIECHV Home Visitation program to the area young families in Mercer County. Home Visitors Comprehensive child development services, in the home environment, including support of the parent / child relationship though education focused actives, home visits, group socialization, case management and family advocacy. Home-Based Child Development Associate (CDA) or Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS) certification, or equivalent coursework as part of an associate or bachelor’s degree, and good communication and computer skills. This is a full-time position based out of the MIECHV Home Visitation office in Bluefield, WV.

Right From the Start

Data Clerk

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Data Clerk to accurately enter and manage data within our systems, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible for the Right from the Start program. Data Clerks participate in ongoing activities of data entry, record maintenance, and frequent communication with Designated Care Coordinators, DCC agencies, and other agencies when needed. A high school diploma or GED is required. Strong organizational skills, experience in clerical work, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy is preferred. This is a full-time position located in Bluefield, WV.

Weatherization

Weatherization Technician

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Weatherization Technician, for the Weatherization program to effectively complete home improvements under the Weatherization program for area families in Southeastern West Virginia including Mercer, Monroe, Raleigh, and Summers counties. Technicians weatherize homes in an organized and effective manner under supervision on homes. High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and must be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, work on roof and work in confined areas on low-income family homes. Experience in HVAC is a plus, but not necessary. Training in weatherization labor skills will be provided. This is a full-time position out of the Raleigh County Weatherization Warehouse in Midway, WV.

WV Home Energy Rebate Program 

Intake Coordinator

CASEWV is seeking applicants for Intake Coordinator, for the WV Home Energy Rebate Program. Intake Coordinators will be on the front line with our clients, assisting them with the application process and providing support with questions along the way. A high school diploma or GED is required and experience in customer service and data entry is preferred. This is a full-time position located in Bluefield, WV.
