We're so excited to celebrate a major milestone for our youth programs in Southern West Virginia!

Huge thanks to the City of Bluefield and the Bluefield Police Department for their incredible support. We are thrilled to announce that we have received funding from the City of Bluefield as a part of the U.S. Department of Justice: Building Local Continuums of Care to Support Youth Success grant!

This funding is will allow us to continue our efforts to support young people. We’ll be using these funds to support our impactful Hoop Skills, Life Drills camps and other key initiatives that focus on positive youth development and intervention.

This is more than just a grant; it's a testament to our community's commitment to our youth's future. Together, we are building a brighter, more optimistic future for the next generation!

“The City of Bluefield/Bluefield Police Department was the recipient of the FY2023 U.S. Department of Justice: Building Local Continuums of Care to Support Youth Success grant. Over 18 months, the city conducted a planning and assessment process to develop a continuum of care with a focus on positive youth development, prevention, diversion, and treatment services for youth in Mercer County, West Virginia. This included planning and assessing promising and evidence-based prevention and intervention for youth at risk of becoming or already involved in the juvenile justice system. Additionally, within the continuum of care plan, economic impact strategies were outlined to provide cost savings to be reinvested in the community.

Funds paid to CASEWV/Project YES were derived from this grant award to support positive youth development activities.”
