Joy Harry has lived in Monroe County her whole life. While living on a fixed income, she has needed home repairs for some time and has been unable to complete them. Thanks to the hard work of the community around her, organized by the CASEWV Housing Program, she has been able to repair her home.

We are thrilled to share the heartwarming success story of Joy Harry, a lifelong resident of Monroe County!
Like many seniors on a fixed income, Joy was facing a tough challenge: her home was in desperate need of repairs she simply could not afford to complete on her own. For a while, the necessary fixes remained out of reach.
But thanks to the incredible, hardworking community around Monroe County, Joy's situation has changed! Through the efforts organized by the CASEWV Housing Program, neighbors, volunteers, and partner organizations rallied together to ensure Joy's home is safe, secure, and beautiful once again. Your commitment played a massive role in her success! 🛠️🏡❤️

Formed in 1991, CommunityWorks in West Virginia, Inc. (CWWV) has served to unite housing-related agencies and organizations to assure safe affordable housing for West Virginians. CommunityWorks, is a statewide intermediary organization made up of local agencies and organizations that provide housing-related services throughout the state of West Virginia. CommunityWorks, has been a chartered member of NeighborWorks America (NWA) since 1996, and is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the United States Department of the Treasury. In 2020 CommunityWorks built and established the Home Ownership Center to better assist clients with housing counseling and lending needs.
